THE HOLY BIBLE
This craft is intended to teach the children that the way to escape sinful temptations in their own life is to follow Jesus’ example of hiding God’s Word in their heart.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Print craft page for Lesson 2.
– “Psalm 119:11” (pg. 66 or click here)
- Pre-cut colored construction paper in half, short-ways (this will be your “Bible”). Also pre-cut colored ribbon into 6” strands for Bible book mark.
- Have students choose a ribbon and a sheet of construction paper.
- Set ribbon aside and let students fold their paper in half so it looks like a book. This is their “Bible.”
- Have students write their name on the BACK of the paper they just folded into a “Bible”.
- Next, students should use crayon, marker, or white chalk to write “Holy Bible” on the FRONT of their “Bible.”
- Next, students should take the “Psalm 119:11” page and glue it into the Right side of the inside of their “Bible”. (The Psalm 119:11 should already be cut out for younger students and very careful supervision should be administered to older students that are using scissors. Failure to use scissors with care can result in serious injury.)
- Help students finish by stapling their ribbon to the inside of their “Bible.”
