“Simon Says” is a simple, yet competitive game that teaches children to disregard distractions around them and listen for “Simon’s” instructions and obey them. Remind the children how Jesus was not distracted by the words and temptations of the Devil, but He knew and obeyed the Word of God.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Choose an adult leader to be “Simon”
- Line students up so that they can all see and hear “Simon”
- Simon gives a command (ie, “Simon says touch your nose.”). If the command is to be obeyed, “Simon” MUST say, “Simon says” before giving the order. If “Simon does NOT say, “Simon says,” the students are NOT to obey.
- The round ends when one student is left standing.
